I intend this forum to be a serious study into the the writings of H. P. Lovecraft and associated writers; generally Poe. Included in this will be researches into folklore, myth, archaeology, treatises and web sites of non-fictional content from which he may have been influenced. Music and fictional literature influenced by his 'cosmic horror' concept can be discussed separately. There is nothing of interest here for Posers, Role Players, 'real' elder ones, or Cthulhu religious cults.
H.P. Lovecraft was a writer of fiction, not legends. There is a vast distinction.
Writers whose contribution to the (cosmic horror fiction) genre who garner respect include, but not limited to - Edward Bulwer-Lytton, Algernon Blackwood, Arthur Machen, August Derleth, Robert Chambers, Frank Belknap Long, Ramsey Campbell, Barbara Hambly, Chelsea Q. Yarbro, H.G. Wells, etc.
Fantasy art. Premiere among the horror genre are Allen Koszoski (www.allenk.com) an amazing artist who has not received the acclaim he should have. Jim Fitzgerald-fabulous genre artist of Keltic art.
Music and movies dealing with the occult whose concentration is not fluff.
Non-practicing English Major with emphasis on 'ENGLISH'; I'm a native speaker. Incredulous that I have to chose my own language when attempting to communicate in my own country! I enjoy all types of literature as long as the author writes well.
A staunch environmentalist and animal rights defender; with a deep reverence for this amazing place we call home. Pagan leanings not yet discovering my category.
Intrinsically happy; comfortable with my non-model physique. Not a blimp, nor a pogo stick. A normal woman with natural curves.
